Vitamin D is a hormone that helps your body to absorb some very important nutrients we get from food & sunlight. The consumption of Vitamin D is vital in ensuring your body’s other nutrients get the boosts they need. Being deficient in Vitamin D will leave your cells famished and craving more, and for good reason. Being deficient in this important vitamin can actually lead to certain chronic diseases, so keeping an eye on your vitamin intake is quintessential! On a positive note, Vitamin D is being studied for improving effects of depression. Some researchers think that it inflates the quantity of serotonin output, which is what makes you happy, happy, happy. Furthermore, it has other benefits ranging from increasing bone health to aiding in the prevention of cancer. As a reminder, don’t overdue it. Everything in moderation; too much can be unhealthy. This is especially true with Vitamin D, since it’s in fatty foods that can lead to weight gain your summer body doesn’t want.

  • Fatty Fish
  • Raw Milk
  • Mushrooms

  • Orange Juice
