Effects of Gratitude

Being thankful and appreciative during certain situations can actually play a really large role in our daily lives. Just by saying thank you, and truly meaning it, you will feel a sense of gratitude that you wouldn’t normally feel if you had just said, “Thanks,” without much thought or meaning behind it. Now, this may seem obvious to some people, but to most people, it isn’t. Since there are two people in these situations, we should try to get a sense of how the other person feels as well. Showing gratitude can really show fortune to others. In fact, they can even have physical responses to such gratitude.

When you give a meaningful “Thank you so much” to someone, they get a sense of warmth, a feeling of gratefulness and meaning. On top of that, it can make them smile, and you would be surprised at how many people smile later in the day thinking about how good they made someone else feel. Meaning, it isn’t just a feel it and forget situation. These effects can be long lasting and really make an impression on someone’s day or even week. Be grateful for the good things and people around you. Show that gratitude and watch their responses. It works both ways and you will all feel better afterwards!
