Fitness Apps I Just Love
No matter where we are or what we are doing, we almost always have our phones close by! There are so many wonderful apps available on our cell phones these days; have you ever considered using a fitness app to help motivate your healthy lifestyle or weight loss goals? With these resources, none of us really have a valid excuse in today’s day and age. Our phones are within reach and hold the keys to fitness success.
Here are a few of my personal favorites, and I’ll tell you why I think they are so great!
This app lets you join like minded fitness packs! It’s like a built in community for people trying to be more active. One of the great things with ActiveX is how they push towards HIIT training, which is high intensity interval training. This is one of the best ways to burn fat and calories alike, plus it is great to push your body a little harder each time you workout. For Android users, it is just called Active in the Play store.
Lets you go to your local gym but listen into an indoor cycle class. This app is integrated with Apple Health, which really helps in monitoring your fitness progress. In addition, it’s super easy to use and make the most out of, right from the start. You choose your instructor, choose the amount of time you want to pedal, and get started! Plus the first 7 days are free, so you can give it a trial run to see if you like it.
This helps you get up to 50% off a fitness class. Cost is based on how early you book it and the time! As of yet, this will be most helpful for the people living or visiting Boston, New York City, and Washington, DC. Don’t disregard them just yet if you aren’t there though, they are expanding and will most likely be near you soon! Some of the classes they offer are Yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, Boot camp, HIIT, and more! So keep an eye out for them in the near future. As of right now, they are only Apple based for their App.
Is an extremely versatile fitness application. Once you download the app, you can follow certain trainers, Save specific workouts for later, or even create your own workout schedule. If you don’t have the time to set all your own workouts up, or maybe don’t know which direction to point, they offer guided plans to point you in the right one. Plus, they offer a 7 day free trial, to give it a little rest run. Although, I must say, it is worth the little upgrade, and so do over 1 million other people. It’s available on both Apple and Android and has tablet versions to use on your iPad as well.
There we have it, my Top 4 favorite fitness apps. With the technology available today, allowing us to get a workout in at anytime of the day, we really don’t have an excuse to not get up and truly move around.
