Cruelty Free Brands

Cruelty Free Brands

Can you believe it is already Fall??! 2017 is flying bye!

The past few years there has been a ton of controversy around animal testing. Any animal lover, myself included, can understand the outrage with brands that still support animal testing.  When I’m looking at new household products and/ or beauty products I look into if they are cruelty free. Not sure what cruelty free symbols look like? Just look for a little bunny symbol on the back by the ingredients. It may also say cruelty free on the packaging! I will  save you a little time on your next shopping trip – Here are a few of my favorite cruelty free brands!

Beauty Brands:

Nourish Organic

I love the fact that this brand can be purchased at your local grocery store, it’s lightweight, and affordable. Nourish Organic has been around for a decade and worked with the FDA to create products that are certified organic, yay! They are completely cruelty free!

Honest Beauty

Founded by Jessica Alba, Honest Beauty products contain pure & raw ingredients while avoiding any animal testing procedures. Honest Beauty can be purchased at CVS, Walgreens, and even some grocery stores. Cruelty- free & easily accessible, yay!

Josie Maran

Josie’s story is very inspiring. A model & an incredibly influential woman, Josie created an organic beauty line called Josie Maran Cosmetics.  One of the reasons I fell in love with this company is their brand mission. Encouraging other women to feel beautiful everyday and to follow their dreams no matter how big, is what Josie Maran Cosmetics is all about!  All of her products have one thing in common, 100% pure Argan Oil as the main ingredient. Oh, and no animal testing here!!

ColourPop

ColourPop I recently learned, is a company that not only manufactures everything in Southern California and has an unending supply of gorgeous shades, they are also cruelty free. As they phrase it, we love our fur babies. Colourpop is also active in donating to organizations such as the no kill shelters in LA through product launches such as puppy love eyeshadow.

RMS Beauty

Though many beauty companies uses toxic chemicals as ingredients in their products, you will find only natural and organic materials in any RMS product. It doesn’t stop there, their packaging is also recyclable and their products are indeed cruelty free. With tons of products and colors in their line, I’ll probably never get sick of them.

Household Products:

Method

is a popular brand of household cleaning products that’s widely available in stores…. if you frequent Target then I’m sure you have seen them! They are cruelty-free and offer a wide range of cleaners – all-purpose surface cleaners, dish soaps, bathroom cleaners, hard floor cleaners, and more. If you are picky about scents, don’t worry because they have a ton of fresh smelling scents to choose from.

Mrs Meyer’s

This product line is Leaping Bunny-certified. They carry dish soap and surface cleaners made with essential oils and mostly naturally-derived ingredients. so no guessing what chemicals are cleaning your kitchen counter. Their multi-purpose surface concentrate is the best bang for your buck!! A huge bottle of their multi-purpose cleaner will often last me an entire year!!  Mrs. Meyers offers candles, linen sprays, and so much more so if you’re looking for one company that covers all your household needs then look no further!

Seventh Generation, Martha Stewart Clean, Clean Well, and Ecover are a few more companies that I enjoy using! I hope this article was helpful for you and that you are able to better pick out cruelty-free brands on your next shopping trip. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
